ABOUT DR. MOHAMED GEBRIL
BDS, MESc, MSc, Dip (Prosthodontics), FRCDC
Dr. Mohamed Gebril is a prosthodontist and full-time Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. His work combines advanced clinical care, academic involvement, and personalized treatment planning to support patient outcomes.
Education and Specialty Training
Dr. Gebril completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia, where he also earned a Master’s degree in Craniofacial Science. He received his dental degree from Alexandria University and later completed a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at Western University.
Teaching and Academic Involvement
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gebril is actively involved in teaching and research at UBC. He contributes to both the Graduate Prosthodontics Program and the Doctor of Dental Medicine program, with a focus on clinical education, prosthodontics, and digital dentistry.
Clinical Focus and Professional Recognition
Dr. Gebril focuses on rehabilitating failing dentitions with advanced implant solutions and full mouth reconstruction. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Prosthodontics and a prominent speaker on national and international levels.
